Words

Here are is a song that I wrote this week with the help of my good friend HG Chaitanya Caran Prabhu.  The Bhaktivedanta Band performed this song yesterday at the ISKCON Kolkata Sunday feast program.  There was an encouraging response, and several devotees requested copies of the song.

I hope that we soon can complete the recording of the song and post a link here.  Recording of the song has begun.

It's our karma, take responsibility.

God's love is not always easy to understand.

Why Did God Make This Place So Bad?

Why Did God Make This Place So Bad?

Why are we not happy but almost always sad?

The miseries of this world ignite our soul,

Due to our desire for enjoyment and control.

Blind Babies Deformed from birth

One wonders what is their little worth

What did they do to deserve their pain?

What does God stand to gain?

And some babies never see the light

murdered by the aborshonist’s knife.

Is God a sadist or serial killer

Is life only a cheap paperback thiller.

What does God stand to gain,

By giving us so much pain?

Why did God make this place so bad?

Why are are we not happy, but almost always sad?

What are these little drops of happiness we taste?

Some minuscule molecules amongst the nuclear waste?

If life was all bad, we would get used to that too.

But God’s plan is different, he wants us out of here soon.

Like drops of water in the desert on a steaming hot day

drinking it just makes you more thirsty and thirsty they say

A few drops of honey fall from the sky

Put out your toungue and taste it, in a few minutes you’ll die.

But God’s love,

And God’s plan

will bring us back to Him.

God’s love

And God’s plan

will come together

Be together

Joy together

Together!

Once again.

Eternally.

Be Together.

But Lord Krishna is not to blame,

because we choose to wear a golden chain.

Our destiny today is made up

of our choices from yesterday.

The sufferings that we receive,

are due to us for past misdeeds.

To put the blame on God,

is unfair and very odd.

And Krishna is so kind,

He’s in our heart and always reminds,

What actions to undertake

will enable us, His grace, partake

Real happiness is when we share our love,

Share our love with God, who is above.

God, He shares His happiness with us,

We are a family.  In God we trust.

We were together in the spiritual world

The taste of supreme happiness was unfurled.

Now we can’t be satsified with any other taste,

any other time, or any other space.

Having loved Krishna thus,

We can’t give our heart to anyone else

Real happiness is when we share our love,

Share our love with God, who is above.

The chanting of His holy name,

will make the spirtual world our claim,

The love of God is shown in this land

By the way He shows His helping hand.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna

Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama

Rama Rama Hare Hare
