Who is the BHAKTIVEDANTA BAND?

The BHAKTIVEDANTA BAND is a group of international devotees who travel and perform kirtan in a variety of musical styles and flavors, especially for youth.

Using both traditional Hare Krishna instruments as well as modern western instruments and computers, the BHAKTIVEDANTA BAND encourages it’s audiences to enthusiastically chant and dance.

Ekalavya Das:

Born in 1965 in New York, the same year that Srila Prabhupada came to New York, he began playing piano at age of 2, now he plays more than 16 instruments, has been a monk for 20 years in ISKCON, and has traveled to more than 30 countries performing devotional music.

 

Srila Prabhupada’s his spiritual dean,

For twenty years on the ISKCON scene,

In India twice born, plays a golden horn

And instruments more fifteen.

 


Pradyumna Singh Manot:

On the piano he grooves,

Jazz harmony behooves,

ISKCON born, never forlorn,

Chanting Hare Krishna he approves.

 

He plays the Piano

He always gets a Bravo

He plays in a Latin Jazz combo

 

Born in a family of devotees in Kolkata, he plays and teaches music professionally.  His performance credits include Grammy winner Vishva Mohan Bhatt, and world famous tap dancer Jason Samuel Smith.

He’s Finnish to the Finish,

His bhakti is never diminished.

Plays the Bass, at which he’s an ace.

He’s an expert at many a dish.
