June 23, 2011 marked the evening of the annual Utkarsh camp kirtan festival. Every year, HG Radheshyam Prabhu and his team from ISKCON Pune coordinate a massive youth program in Sri Dham Mayapur. 550 New boys were present chanting between 1 – 4 rounds. 150 senior boys (16 rounders) were present to facilitate them.

We sang from our hearts within
with keyboard and violin
electricity came and went, sweet mercy Goloka sent
as the boys frolic, leap, jump and spin

The program went from 7 pm to 8:45 pm. Last year, we had the program in the Gada Building Garden, but this year, there was one thousand times the potency because we were chanting and dancing right in the presence of Sri Sri Panca Tattva.

HG Badra Caru Prabhu, life membership preacher and cultivator, in Sri Dhama Mayapur said, “I was afraid you would do some rock concert in the temple, but it was very satvik (mode of goodness). The same rice, dahl, and subjee, with a little marsalla (spice).”

The following day, Badra Caru Prabhu invited BHAKTIVEDANTA BAND to come to Mayapur on a monthly basis to perform for the Life Member Get Togethers. And we hope to take him up on his offer to receive the mercy of Sri Mayapur Dhama.

Sri Dhama Mayapur Ki Jaya!
